Student Visa
The Subclass 500 Student Visa allows international students to study full-time in a CRICOS-registered course in Australia. Our MARA-registered counsellors prepare every section — GTE statement, financial capacity, OSHC and health checks — before lodgement.
About Student Visa (Subclass 500).
The Student Visa (Subclass 500) allows you to come to Australia to study full-time in a registered course. This visa allows you to stay in Australia for the duration of your course and provides work rights to support your studies.
With this visa you may bring family members as dependants, travel in and out of Australia, and potentially transition to other visa categories — including 485, 482 or skilled migration streams — after completing your studies.
Study full-time
Enroll in any CRICOS-registered course — from English language and VET to undergraduate, masters and PhD.
Include family
Add a spouse and dependent children to your application. Partners may study and work under your visa.
Travel freely
Re-enter Australia as many times as you need during the visa period — for vacations, conferences or family.
Work while you study
Up to 48 hours per fortnight during term, and unlimited hours during scheduled university breaks.
What you will need.
Six core eligibility requirements. We audit each one during your first consultation and flag risks before lodgement.
Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
A CRICOS-registered institution must issue a CoE before lodgement. We help negotiate deferral if intake dates shift.
Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE)
A 300–600 word statement demonstrating your study intent. Re-drafted by our writing room for every applicant.
Financial capacity
Evidence of AUD 24,505 / year plus tuition. Bank statements, sponsor letters and education loans accepted.
Overseas Student Health Cover
OSHC must be in place for the entire visa period. We compare Medibank, BUPA, Allianz and NIB quotes.
English proficiency
IELTS 5.5 (no band below 5.0), PTE 42, TOEFL iBT 46 — varies by course level and institution.
